Pokémon Rumble World is Nintendo’s latest ‘free-to-start’ game

The Pokemon rumble series is set to continue on the Nintendo 3DS with Pokémon Rumble World. It’ll be what Nintendo are calling a ‘free-to-start’ game, with paid content. Rumble World will be the second Pokemon of this sort on the Nintendo 3DS.
The game is due out next week on April 8th and features over 700 Pokemon from Pokemon Red and Blue all the way up to Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby.
What do you think of this trend of ‘free to start’, i.e. play games on the Nintendo 3DS?

What is the other ‘free-to-start’ game on 3DS that you’re referring to?
Pokemon Shuffle, there’s also the Steel Diver game.
This is a very slippery slope Nintendo, I don’t have high hopes that you won’t eventually start doing hybrid games which are effectively the same as paid games with micro transactions littered throughout.
Can’t blame nintendo though, the amount of these kind of games that do well on mobile phones in Japan. If it is like Pokemon Shuffle I’m cool with it. That game is best in small bursts anyway. Haven’t spent a cent on it, and am enjoying it.
