Nintendo Teases Three Wii U titles on Facebook
Well here’s something new, Nintendo is using Facebook to tease their upcoming lineup for the Wii U.
The post comes from the Wii U page that the company created last week.
Its latest post suggests that people should ‘scratch off’ the names of the games on the page, they’ve used an character that looks like the panel on scratch cards.
Here’s what the post says;
Guess what the initial game releases will be for Nintendo’s new home console, Wii U? Soon we’ll scratch off to reveal the names! ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒.
Obviously there is no way to actually scratch these off, nor would the games titles be hidden ‘under’ the characters in anyway. But at least you now could surmise that are three games from Nintendo out near launch and possible the length of the games title as well. If you want to get specific their are 34 characters in the first title, 27 in the second and 19 in the last.
Yes folks, this is what counts as news under a week away from E3.
I guess Pikmin 3 will have a more original name then?
Yeah, it’s been mentioned that Pikmin 3 won’t be called that so as not to alienate people who haven’t played the first 2.
Anyway, 19 characters? The Legend of Zelda is 19 characters. Coincidentally, New Legend of Zelda is also 19 characters. 😛
I guess New Legend of Zelda wouldn’t be a Wii U game though unless it’s downloadable or obscenely huge. So I’ve read a new candidate for the 19 character game.
Nintendo VS. Capcom.
I’d cry rainbows if that were a game.
good authors always link their sources. It’s the only thing an internet blogger can do better than a real journalist, and you didn’t do it.
Who should I have sourced?
I did forget a link to the Wii U Facebook page, but have now edited the story.
You really didnt need to apologise or worry about that. Its mentioned more than once its on Nintendo’s own facebook page and its not exactly a source either. There shouldnt have been a need.
Coincidence that the last title has the correct number of characters to say “The Legend of Zelda”?
Super Mario Bros. 4 is 19 characters…
It would be really nice to see a new Zelda game. All I’ve seen so far is a fake Majora Mask trailer.
