Dragon Quest XI is coming to the Nintendo 3DS
Square Enix taken the wraps of the next mainline Dragon Quest game and it’s coming to the Nintendo 3DS, the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo NX – more on the NX version in this story.
The game was revealed in a live broadcast earlier today. The game will run on the Unreal Engine 4 on the PS4 with the 3DS game obviously running on another. The game on the 3DS plays much like a more recent Draqon Quest game in 3D on the top screen but on the bottom it looks like the SNES versions of the game. Both graphical styles run concurrently – it actually looks quite amazing.

The game is being developed by the same team with Toy Logic working on the 3DS version. The 3D version also has battles in both 3D and 2D depending on the screen, you’ll use the D-Pad on the bottom screen and the circle pad on the top.
There are now nearly a dozen Dragon Quest games waiting sitting in localisation limbo since 2011. Will Dragon Quest XI be the next?
I think you forgot to mention the biggest news that it got announced for NX too.
We were too fast! NX news is mentioned now and in another story as well.
