Aussie Bargain Roundup: Find Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Amiibo cheap!
Still got some money left over from last week? Well good! Because you’re going to need it this week as well with the onslaught of new Nintendo goodies coming to a close for the year.
First up, Super Smash Bros for Wii U is finally upon us, most stores will just have the standard version of the game with EB and JB now sold out. Target’s latest catalogue claims to have ‘Limited Stock’ of the bundle with the GameCube adapter. Most things are usually limited at Target anyway so we wonder how many ‘Limited’ really is.
Then there’s Amiibo – just that alone is enough to make anyone declare bankruptcy. If you did buy Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Vilager, Pikachu, Kirby and Marth at their full retail price you’d be looking at more than $215. Use the discounts below from Target or Big W and you’re looking at a big saving instead.
Just again on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. If you want the GameCube adapter separate you’ll have to phone Nintendo and order one, it’s painless and only takes a couple of minutes. More details on that are available here. Including shipping they’re on $29.95.

Thanks for your efforts!
thanks for this
Thanks for this! My only request is to put up the prices for Smash Bros with Gamecube Adaptor with the various stores- even though sold out, we can use them to price match with EB.
One of the rare moments in which I’m so glad I preordered with adapter when pre order was released!!
Target is the only retailer other than JB and EB who have said they’re having it (at a cheaper price). So… they are listed.
My local Big W had Smash Bros Wii U pack with GameCube adapter for $78. Even though not in the catalogue.
If anyone see’s this – all the figures seem hard to get in one place. I had to go to 5 different stores to get all 12. I only saw one wii fit trainer in all the stores and quickly snapped it up.
I scored the Super Smash Bros + GameCube Adapter from target geelong!!! Boo-ya
Thanks Danny boy
I noticed kmart is missing, they are selling the amiibo for $15ea, don’t know about smash though.
My wife got all 12 for me as I was working, isn’t she great? She got 11 at Target (stock went very fast), and Wii Fit trainer at Big W. Big W Carindale hadn’t even bothered to put them on display, they were in boxes behind the counter. I was concerned that Nintendo had ruined the figures with the changes they had made. But the figures look great (would be better with clear poles/braces) and are of high quality in my opinion. Is Vooks going to do a review on the Amiibos any time soon?
