Bargain Roundup: Aussie Splatoon + Splatoon amiibo deals
A year ago it was Mario Kart 8, but it’s 2015 now and the first big blockbuster title from Nintendo this year is almost here. It’s also the first big new IP from Nintendo on the Wii U and you’re going to want it.
You’re going to want it at the cheapest price possible though and that’s where this bargain roundup comes in. It’s a triple whammy too with the game on offer, a bunch of amiibo and even a hardware bundle.
So far either importing or JB Hi-Fi are your best bet for the game. The week is young though and the game is still a few days away and heavy weights Big W and Target haven’t weighed in yet.

Yeah I agree, a bit steep. Hopefully Target or Big W have the 3 pack cheaper. Kinda feel like I need to buy them so that I don’t miss out on any content.
But… each Amiibo would be $17.95 normally so you are making a saving on 3 Amiibos together, even if it is a small amount…
Just a question- is there local multiplayer in Splatoon or is it only online atm?
There is a two player local mode where you shoot balloons for points but other than that online only and Single Player mode.

Eb Games just announced that the Splatoon console bundle comes with Disney Infinity 2.0 starter pack for $359.
What?? Thats a damn good deal! I was looking to get a Wii U for the kids to play so Multiplayer mayhem too.. Hrmm. Gotta decide soon.

The price isn’t so bad for the game and the tripple pack amiibo. Nintendo can see a gap in the market with its consumers and is repectfully exploting our urge to collect nearly any item because they’re awesome and right up any nintendo fans isle. Furthermore, the Amiibos are well priced considering how well detailed they are and their functionality. Bring on Splatoon!
Was in store this afternoon attempting to purchase it. They had the discs and were about to sell it before realising that they don’t actually get the game cases until the day it comes out. But the thing of note was the the SKU on the discs had it listed as $69. I quoted $58 from catalogue image and said if they would match their own price tomorrow and he said they wouldn’t. Could just be a misinformed employee.
Loads of stock out in my local JB and Big W: triple pack Splatoon amiibo everywhere. Nothing was out in the local EB Games at all!
Turned up to my local Target this morning for opening, expecting a mad rush of people. One mum and her son there, so I had a chat with her. She’d pre-ordered the amiibos (Greninja and Jigglypuff) but hadn’t done anything about the Splatoon deals. There were a mountain of triple packs in stock. No single figures (I’m guessing it’s a triple pack frenzy). No idea about the gold Mario, but it’s not released yet.
If you’re after the Splatoon triple pack, don’t over-spend. They’re everywhere.
