Majesco Entertainment has announced a Wii version of Zoo Hospital will be released in PAL territories in the fourth quarter of 2008. Developed by Melbourne studio Torus Games, Zoo Hospital will give players the opportunity to step into the shoes of a recent Veterinary graduate who must help heal a myriad of exotic animals and attract more visitors to save the once world-famous Zoo Hospital from a businessmans bulldozer. Players will be able to use the Wii-remote to undertake a variety of surgical procedures such as eliminating parasitic pests, performing dentistry, X-raying organs and removing foreign bodies to restore the health of 48 ailing zoo animals, including dolphins, gorillas, macaws and camels.

By caring for the animals and following up on post surgical patients the player can increase the animals health and happiness, and increasing the Zoo Rating which in turn affects the number of customers visiting the zoo.

Zoo Hospital will allow players to experience a 3D zoo environment and will enable up to two friends to treat animals together in a cooperative multi-player mode. Aspiring vets can also unlock new animals, enclosures, medical mini-games, and plaques by successfully performing procedures and raising the Zoo Rating.
