Zelda: Tri Force Heroes wasn’t going to have single-player at all
We’ve all been playing The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes over the weekend and one thing about it for sure is that the single player is a little bit substandard. The multiplayer is great fun, but the experience on lonesome might as well not be there; that’s because it almost wasn’t.
Speaking to Time Magazine, game Producer Eiji Aonuma and Director Hiromasa Shikata have spoken about the single player mode, Shikata didn’t want the game to have it all. Aonuma though argued against that. Here’s Shikata’s reasoning;
When we started, I didn’t have any thoughts of creating a single-player mode, because I was focused on a three-player mode that’s fun. So one day, Aonuma-san steps in and says ‘Can you make a single-player for this?’ And I was thinking ‘Oh no, no, that’s not . . . All of a sudden? Wow, can we?’ And so we went back and forth about it.
So what do you think, have you bothered to play the game single player at all? If you have what did you think? Let us know in the comments!
This is one of those titles I plan to keep for co-op only. The couple hours put on so far have been a blast and yet to do single player outside the small opening ‘quest’.
