Nintendo sprung a (very large) Mini Direct on us tonight, and amongst the big names (lookin’ at you Funky Kong) was a look at something nobody even considered might be coming to Switch.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is an action RPG game from Nihon Falcom, a Japanese developer that hasn’t made a game for a Nintendo console since the Super Famicom in 1995, and it’s officially coming to the Switch. Previously released on the PS4 and Vita, Ys VIII follows the story of an adventurer named Adol, who becomes shipwrecked on a mysterious island and has to fight for his survival.
The game is scheduled to release in the US Summer of 2018, which is Winter for us in the southern hemisphere. You can read the description below, or scroll past it to watch the trailer.
