Wolverine’s Origins to be explained on the Wii

It’s been in development for years, and finally details for the Xmen Origins: Wolverine film are starting to spill out. With that, however, also comes a game announcement designed to tie-in with the film. Published by Activision and developed by Raven Sofware, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, will tell the story of Wolverine from “”his escape from the Weapon X facility to the jungles of Africa and beyond.”” The game is in development for nearly every console under the sun, including the Nintendo DS and Wii, and is set for release when the film debuts in cinemas in May 2009. Sydney, Australia December 10, 2008 Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) has released new details on X-Men Origins: Wolverine, whose titular hero is one of the most popular Marvel characters of all time. The video game, scheduled for release in April 2009, coincides with the global debut of Twentieth Century Foxs release of its feature film, X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, which is also based on the famous Marvel character.

From the award-winning studio Raven Software, the video game enlists players to experience the tormented origins of Wolverine, from his escape of the Weapon X facility to the jungles of Africa and beyond. The game is currently in development for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system, Windows PC , Wii home video game system, Nintendo DS, PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and PSP (PlayStationPortable) system, and is not yet rated by the Classification Board.
