Wii U update will boost boot times with new Quick Start menu

Announced during today’s Nintendo investor briefing is a new update to the Wii U which boost the time it takes to get playing – even before you TV is warmed up.

The quick boot option will appear when you turn on your GamePad, it will show a list of recently accessed games which you can tap to load. After that just hit your Mii and away it goes.

There’s a quick video of the new menu in action. It wasn’t announced when this update would hit but we’ll let you know when we do.
