Wii U owners who have been hanging out for new maps for Call of Duty: Black Ops II can rejoice, at least, just a little bit, as the Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map is now available for Wii U owners, a NintendoLife reader has tipped off. As with the pre-ordered copies of the game, the map is offered free to any existing owners of the game who has their game connected to the Nintendo Network.
A launch title for the Wii U, Call of Duty: Black Ops II launched almost two years ago, and anyone who pre-ordered the game received a free downloadable map. Nuketown 2025 was a redux of sorts for a previous map from the franchise.
Players who want to revisit Nuketown 2025 can now boot up Call of Duty: Black Ops II and install the title update. The map will be automatically be added to your game from there on in.
While it’s a bizarre situation to even consider that developers bothered to add the map to the Wii U version this late, it’s nice regardless.
Will you be dusting off your copy to play?
