No games support it, so Nintendo's not bothering.
Despite Nintendo Japan revealing the price of a separate Wii U GamePad yesterday, Nintendo won’t be releasing the second Wii U GamePad at launch. Nintendo America, Europe and Australia too are also not releasing the price for one either.
The reason? Because there are no games that support the function yet, says Bill Trinen from Nintendo America. “None of the launch-window titles support dual GamePad play,” Trinen said. “As a result we won’t be selling the GamePad as a separate accessory. It will be released once the content is there to support it. Our anticipation is that there will be (games that support it) sometime next year.”
That price will also come too when they announce availability of a second pad.
