Making a Wii now costs Nintendo only half of what it used to. Koya Tabata, a grey-suit wearing analyst from international finance firm Credit Suisse, has had a look at Nintendos operation costs, and determined that technological advances and streamlining of the manufacturing process now means that each Wii console made by Nintendo now costs them 45% less than what it did when the console launched in 2006. But have Nintendo passed the savings on to you, the customer? Er, no. Despite some attractive store-run deals, the waggle-tastic console still carries a RRP of $399 AUD.
