Wii Mini launches in the UK next month

Nintendo UK has announced that the diminutive version of the Wii, the Wii Mini will launch in the UK on March 22nd.
The Wii Mini is a new form factor for the console that comes in a matte black and red trim colour. It’s packed in with a red Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuck. The system has absolutely no online functionality, no GameCube backwards compatibility and no SD card support. It simply plays Wii games on disks.
Nintendo also announced that Mario Party 8, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Power Tennis and Super Paper Mario will be joing the cheaper Nintendo Selects price range from the same date as well.
It’s likely we’ll see neither the new Wii Mini or the Nintendo Selects games here in Australia. One of them is a shame.

Nintendo Selects have never come to Australia, at least for the Wii. We still pay top dollar for really old games like Mario Party 8 & LoZ: Twilight Princess.
if you could transfer the holy trinity (smash/kart/crossing) save files i’d pick one up as my wii now gets pretty hot even on standby.
