Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND launches next month in Europe

The release date for Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND has been picked and it’ll hit the European eShop next month on October 4th. The awkwardly named karaoke service is a free download and will give you a free trial before the fee’s kick in.

There is over 1500 songs included on Wii Karaoke U and more are promised to be added in the future, hopefully that promise works out better than Sing did.

Wii Karaoke U follows a traditional fee structure by charging by the hour, an entire day or even a entire month. Each song will be downloaded as well when selected, there’s no way 1500 songs are going to fit on your Wii U. You’ll receive an hour free on download.

The game supports all styles of USB Microphones or in a pinch you can use the microphone in the GamePad.

If you’re really keen on karaoke you should be able to access this service by switching the your Wii U to the European store as you would any other title, but there has been no local announcement at this stage.
