Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND Heading To Europe This Year
Nintendo Europe has announced that Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND will be heading to European Wii U consoles later this year.
The Wii Karaoke U software has been available in Japan since the launch of the console there but it’s the first time it’s headed out west. The software itself is free to download but to get your Karaoke on you’ll need to buy either a 24 hour or 30 day ticket. This mimics most traditional karaoke setups.
The Wii U GamePad is used doubly here as both the music library for selection and as the microphone. You can use the wii U Microphone or any other compatible USB microphones as well.
There are four main modes in Wii Karaoke U, the first is the traditional Karaoke mode where you just sing. The second gives you a score at the end of the song, you will receive feedback during the song on how well you are going. The third mode goes online as you rank against other players in your own country and around the world.
Nintendo Europe specifically states that this is just for Europe for now, but it is possible we in Australia could download and use the service too.
Would you ever partake in some karaoke action on Wii U?
So has Nintendo abandoned SiNG Party?
Sing Party is a a third party title I think.
