Wii finally passes 100 million units sold

Say it loud, slow and deep, one hundred million.

It feels like it has almost taken years, but the Wii has finally crawled over the magic 100 million mark units sold.

It’s been stuck on 99 million for the longest time and with 210,000 Wii consoles sold in the last three months its been enough to push it over the mark.

The Wii though is still the third most successful Nintendo console behind the Nintendo DS on 153 million and the GameBoy on 118 million.

So then we the Wii Mini is to thank for this last minute boost?
