Even though the Wii has built a huge installer base, which is still growing at an incredible rate, publishers are still shying away from committing to major Wii development. Case in point – High Voltage Software and their FPS The Conduit. Built exclusively for the Wii, the developer believes they are helping fill a hole in the Wii’s library by creating a serious, mature shooter. They are still yet to find a publisher, even though they say their major goal is to be “”the most technically innovative Wii developer on the planet””.More inside The game features a fully utilised (and very customisable) Wii-remote control scheme and pretty high quality visuals using an advanced 3D engine. High Voltage describe the game as being similar in gameplay style to Halo and Resistance: Fall of Man, and the game is set in current day America with a story surrounding government conspiracies, cover ups and of course, aliens. It looks great and sounds great so lets hope a publisher picks it up, quick-smart.
