A while ago Vooks reported an article that stated that Goichi Suda, creator of the Wii franchise No More Heroes, was planning to move the series onto either the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3. We thought that the second game, No More Heroes – Desperate Struggle, which is set for release early next year, would be the end for the franchise on the Wii. Thankfully, it appears we were wrong.
In an recent interview with gaming website, 1UP, Suda was asked about his plans to move to other consoles. This question was met with quite thorough clarification. As it turns out, Suda does not plan to do any more games on the Wii, however they do plan do develop an entirely new No More Heroes game for the Wiis successor.
"…What I wanted to say was, looking at the Wii, I think No More Heroes 2 will probably be the last iteration for this current platform. But theres probably going to be a "Wii 2" or other next-gen system from Nintendo at some point, so I was saying that I would want to do another game in the series on the next Nintendo platform.
I want to continue the No More Heroes series, but Ive finished the story for Travis. Its completely finished in No More Heroes 2. So I want to think of a different story — a different character, or something like that within the series — starting on the next Nintendo platform."
