The August American NPD charts are in and Nintendo is continuing to dominate the hardware as well as Madden ripping up the software. The Xbox 360 version of Madden was the best along with Bioshock and 360s price drop helping to increase sales. However it was again the Wii and the DS that continue to be a stand out with 403,600 Wii consoles sold and 383,300 DS units sold. Full Charts and Figures inside Wii games also did well with four games in the top ten, Wii Play, debutante Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Strikers charged in fourth, sixth and seventh and Mairo Party 8 in 9th. The entire market was the real winner though with hardware and software up 46 per cent more than the same time last year.
