New games, new screens and trailers. A hive of activity this past week

News has been a little thin on the ground for months, but with the TGS coming soon and the usual holiday period not far after that, things are getting busy. This past week has seen a whole lot of games being announced, new trailers for ones due this year and even some 3DS niceness thrown in.

We started off the week here at Vooks with an interview with Nic Watt from Nnooo about a range of subjects – a great interview. More information on Super Mario Collection was revealed; first there was a new logo and then some Japanese retailers leaked more information including a first look at the box. Revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu was a sequel to the Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney spin-off, oh and there were some new shots from Dead or Alive Dimensions, the newly named 3DS instalment of the franchise.

Activision announced a new competition for Guitar Hero players in Australia, and it looks like there are some epic prizes to be won. It basically is going to be like a Connection Tour but for Guitar Hero. Speaking of "epic", Warren Spector says he wants to make another Epic Mickey game. Lets hope that it sells more than enough so this happens.

EA confirmed that NBA Jam on the Wii would not have any online modes. While we pretty much knew this would be the case, were very disappointed with this and were sure there are many people out there who feel the same.

As the release of Pokémon Black and White gets closer, there is more and more information coming out about the game. In fact, since the game is so near, Famitsu even put a review out for it. They gave it a 40/40 which is a very big improvement over Diamond and Pearl. They must have really liked it. There was also a very big and informative Iwata Asks feature put up regarding Black and White. Some more information about the games development has come out of it.

Last but not least we reviewed Batman: The Brave and the Bold, released before the madness of the upcoming months, and you should definitely take a look at it before some other big game gets released. Not naming anything of course.
