Thanks to Nintendo Australia, we have five spots for our Sydney readers to check out the upcoming Metroid: Other M before its released anywhere in the world.

Metroid: Other M is shaping up to be one of the best Metroid games ever, and one of the big Wii games for 2010. So to help celebrate the glory that is Metroid: Other M, Nintendo Australia and Vooks are offering you the chance to get your hands on the game before it’s released anywhere in the world.

There are some conditions though- you’ll need to live in Sydney, or be willing travel to attend. The event will be on the 12th of August in the evening. You’ll be able to bring one person along with you but both you and your companion must be over 18 years of age.

Entry for the competition is simple. We want you, the Metroid fan, to show us how much you love the game. Whether that’s showing us your game collection, showing your completion status on the previous games or anything else that you think shows off your love and/or knowledge of the series.

Send your entries along with your name, address, and phone number (So Nintendo can send you the invite) to the following email.

metroidotherm@vooks.net

The competition ends on Friday the 6th of August so get your entries in as soon as possible!

Metroid: Other M is going to take you deep in the story of Samus Aran. More so than any other Metroid title before it. The game is a collaborative effort between Nintendo and hardcore action development studio Team Ninja who are responsible for the delightfully deep and destructive Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive games.

Metroid: Other M picks up the story right after the events of Super Metroid, so don’t miss the opportunity to discover the history behind everyone’s favourite Bounty Hunter.

  • The event is being held in the Sydney inner east area and neither Nintendo Australia nor Vooks will cover flights, transfers, accommodation, etc. If you’re outside Sydney or NSW, you can enter, but please only enter if you’re willing to travel at your own expense and can make it.
  • You must be 18 years or older to enter.
  • Competition ends Friday the 6th of August. Winners details will be forwarded to Nintendo for the purpose of sending out your invite. One Entry per person. Five (5) people plus one friend with the most passionate responses will be chosen.
  • Vooks staff members (past and present) are ineligible to win.
  • Please don’t wear a Zero Suit to the event.
  • Many thanks to Nintendo Australia for this competition!
