It’s fast approaching the end of 2014 and it’s finally time to reveal the winners in the Vooks Game of the Year Awards.

Over the next few day we’ll be running through the winners from both our choices and yours. Now, onto the results;

For the 2014 awards we asked both our staff and you the reader to nominate both 3DS and Wii U eShop games separately for two different awards.

Both systems have exclusive games that need to be recognized right?

Turns out we all picked the same game, on both consoles! So if you haven’t scrolled down already you’ll see that Shovel Knight by Yacht Club Games is the recipient of the following awards;

  • Vooks Game of the Year 2014: Best Wii U eShop title
  • Vooks Game of the Year 2014: Best 3DS eShop title
  • Vooks Game of the Year 2014: Best Wii U eShop title – Readers Choice (44% of the vote)
  • Vooks Game of the Year 2014: Best 3DS eShop title – Readers Choice (51% of the vote)

And not only that but Shovel Knight also took away the following award as well!

  • Vooks Game of the Year 2014: Best Indie Game – Readers Choice (48% of the vote)

A clean sweep of everything eShop and everything indie developed! Congratulations to Yacht Club Games!
