A whole new world.

Today, Australian video game news sites Vooks.net and Stevivor.com announced plans to merge and become mega-site, SteVookvor.

Plans are underway to merge the sites for a grand re-opening next week. Both sites will automatically direct to the new SteVookvor.com domain.

Both sites’ editors will remain in place at the new publication in order to report on news in a different way than their readers might be accustomed to.

“It just made sense, really,” said Steve Wright, Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor. “Both sites have great traffic coming through, but this merger is what we need to take on the big multi-nationals.

“In the new structure, I’ll be focusing on the oft-overlooked SEGA Dreamcast while Daniel will tackle the new and exciting world of VR.”

As part of the revamp, SteVookvor will do away with unbiased reporting to take a very strong position on virtual reality in games.

“The Virtual Boy and other VR systems of the late 80s and 90s are the more authentic and real VR systems,” said Daniel “Vook” Vuckovic, Editor-in-Chief of Vooks.net. “Motion controls, high resolution screens can’t deliver that strong front headache like classic VR systems. We will be covering every VR system you can think of throughout history.”

Expect changes to take place during the week.
