It’s podcast time yet again, and this time the regular team of James, Steven and Daniel enter the fold! With so many games to talk about, we were light on the news this episode. None the less, the team discusses the rumours of a Pokemon fighting game, the Mega evolution as well as the newest additions to Wind Waker HD including the recently confirmed Wind Waker Wii U bundle.

The big titles for the week were Disney Infinity, The Wonderful 101 and Splinter Cell Blacklist, so a healthy discussion was had about all these titles. From our loves, to our hates, to our more interesting observations. Nothing is off limits on this podcast!

This episode was produced by Steven (aka Ninja Catfish) and features the following music in order of appearance.: –

Mass Effect (from Splinter Cell Blacklist)
by Nick Murray

Story Stage (from The Wonderful 101)
by Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Akira Takizawa and Hitomi Kurokawa

So you guys where saying that the latest Splinter Cell game runs Unreal Engine 2.5. To me that is amazing considering the original Splinter Cell on the Xbox/GC/Ps2 also ran on Unreal engine 2.5!

Officially, the first game was running an earlier build (2.0). They switched to 2.5 from Chaos Theory onwards, but we can only presume that it’s heavily modified (as we might have touched upon) from that point there-on.

I guess I should’ve clarified that a engine doesn’t necessarily denote the quality of the graphics – but I do feel like Splinter Cell is already starting to show it’s age.
