The cards could work similarly to Xbox 360’s point cards: Gamers can purchase pre-paid download cards from local stores and online which can then be used to purchase games. If the download cards eventuate, it will cut out the need to use a credit card to purchase Virtual Console credit.
The download cards are just “”one of many”” options Nintendo is looking at.
It’s worth noting that this information is related to the region of Spain. It is in no way reflective of other regions and each Nintendo branch handle marketing differently, so us Australian folk will need to wait for an announcement from Nintendo Australia.
