Valve shows interest in Wii U
Wii U fits in with Valves scalability
Valve head Gabe Newell has spoken about the Wii U in public for the first time and said the new console has the horsepower to make Valve games a reality on the system.
Speaking at a game festival in New York, Newell told Joystiq that Valve has always “loved” Nintendo and they might take at look at the Wii U.
"Wii U seems to be a lot more powerful than the previous generation,” Newell told Joystiq.
“It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think itll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model.
"Now its a lot easier to look at Wii U and have it fit within that framework.”
Could Episode 3 (or Half-Life 3 if rumours are true) make its way to the Wii U? The game has been delayed so long another few years of development wouldn’t hurt it. It certainly seems like Valve will be taking the Wii U a lot more seriously than the Wii, but it remains to be seen what sort of support it’ll receive.
