Some USB headsets now work with the Nintendo Switch
Usually when there’s a Switch firmware update, Nintendo gives us most of what’s new in the change logs, but there’s always a couple of smaller things snuck in too. Today’s 4.0.0 update is no different.
First brought to our attention by TatesCreekBridge on reddit, the 4.0.0 update snuck in support for USB audio devices. We tested this with the Wireless PS4 Headset with the Switch docked and confirmed that it does work, but we’ve also heard reports of other USB audio devices working. It’s not guaranteed to work for every device, but there should be a sizeable selection of headsets and possibly even speakers that are compatible.
We’ll be sure to bring you more info as it comes, but in the meantime let us know in the comments if your USB headset works!
The Joycons also have updates.
I attached my Logitech headphones, it display the volume bar but the console freezes.
