Updated New Loveplus+ coming to Japan

Ironically, still no date.

Get ready to love again! New Loveplus, the sequel to the 2009 DS dating sim Loveplus, is getting an updated version called New Loveplus+ in Japan. Still with us?

This new updated version will fix many features that fans complained about, while adding new scenarios for three of the heroines; Manaka Takane, Nene Anegasaki and Rinko Kobayakawa. Akira Yukino, from the 3DS version, is mysteriously missing from this version.

The new scenarios include Egyptian ruins and pirate ships, leading you to believe there could be time travel. Senior producer Akari Uchida elaborated in a Famitsu interview that it’ll include travel, but not time travel, while still leaving it all very ambiguous. No news on a western release just yet, leaving us dateless for the time being.

Looking forward to seeing how a date on a pirate ship would go? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
