Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare originally skipped the Wii when it was released in 2007. You see, Infinity Ward don’t make games on the Wii. However, the year after, World at War was released on the Wii because it was developed by Treyarch, which ended up bucking the trend of mature games on Wii, going on to sell over a million copies. It was also a pretty good game too.
Now Treyarch is bringing Call of Duty : Modern Warfare (they’ve seen fit to drop the 4) to the Wii and it will arrive on the same day Modern Warfare 2 hits stores. Treyarch have previously used the Call of Duty 4 engine on the Wii with Quantum of Solace, but we just hope it turns out better then that.
