It seems Aussie developers Red Tribe are working on Revolution software. At a recent event called ‘The Year of Next Gen’ held at the Australian Games Innovation Centre in the Australian
Games Innovation Centre in the Atari Building, Melbourne, Chris Mosely from Red Tribe had this to say:

“”Dominance in the market today does not mean dominance in the market tomorrow”” commented Chris, on the issue of which next gen console will ultimately win out.

RedTribe are working on the Revolution console and Chris provided a short summary of what is publicly known about the machine, commenting that “”Nintendo doesn’t want to be part of the Sony/Microsoft arms race, instead it is looking for its own niche and has a different view of how to succeed in this niche.”” Nintendo is focussing on innovative game play and Chris indicated the strategy is sound if the right price point for software is hit for its demographic.

The above comment was published on Dissecta’s website which can be found here.. Dissecta was the events organiser.

This is positive news for the local industry and for the Nintendo Revolution. We’ll hopefully get more information on the game they are working on at the E3.

Thanks to site reader Mayo for the heads up!

Update: We contacted Chris Mosely of Red Tribe, and whilst he was unable to reveal more details about the project, he did confirm Red Tribe and Warner Brothers are collaborating on the project. He also stated he will keep us informed when news comes to hand so be sure to keep checking Vooks.net.
