Do you like Nintendo games? A silly question but Nintendo knows you do, and if you’re young enough to have these things called "school holidays", then you’re in luck. Nintendo Australia is holding some events both in Sydney and in Melbourne these coming school holidays for the previously mentioned titles.
If you live in Sydney, you’ll be able to challenge the best in a Mario Kart "Fastest Lap" Challenge. We’re not sure if that’s Mario Kart DS or Mario Kart Wii, so play both. Possibly at the same time. There will also be a separate Wii Party preview event and a PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure event. My my! All three Sydney events will be held at the Nintendo Connection on Level 6, Myer Sydney City, and the dates and times for each are below.
Mario Kart Fastest Lap Challenge
Saturday, September 25, 11:30am-2:30pm
Wii Party Preview
Friday, October 1, 11:30am-2:30pm
Prizes up for grabs!
PokePark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure
Friday, October 8, 11:30am-2:30pm
Prizes up for grabs here too! Pikachu will also make an appearance.
Melbourne also gets a trio of exciting events, so there’s no reason to stay indoors these holidays! To join the fun, hit up the Nintendo Experience at EB Games, Swanston Street on these dates.
Mario 100-Coin Challenge
Wednesday, September 29, 10:00am-5:00pm
Under-12s and Over-12s comps. Registration between 10:00am-12:00pm. First round begins at 12:00pm. Classic Mario games will be there on retro consoles too!
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Comp
Friday, October 1, 3:00pm-6:00pm
This’ll be an elimination competition, and there are prizes to be won!
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies Canvassing (Tag Mode) Event
Sunday, October 3, 2:00pm-5:00pm
Recieve new maps, including a rare map!
And if all that’s not enough, don’t forget that Wii Party is touring the country at the moment too, as well as the History of Super Mario Bros. Tour.
Hopefully they are more events happening outside New South Wales and Victoria though. Now children, let’s talk about how lucky you are to have school holidays…
Predictions time once again.
More than 450 games added this final week.
