Unravel’s developer wouldn’t mind bring game to Nintendo NX

If he knew what the NX was...

Nintendo has a long history of yarn games, so surely a Nintendo console is the perfect place for Coldwood Interactive’s Unravel?

With the EA’s relationship with the Wii U, there’s no hope there but what about on the upcoming NX? Gaming Bolt has asked the developers about the possibility, while they’re open to it there’s one problem… they know nothing about it even after talking to Nintendo.

I wish I knew more about it, but they’re really secretive about it. I actually had a really fun discussion with a person from Nintendo a while back. It was basically ‘I’ll show you mine, if you show me yours’ (laughs). So he wanted me to pitch something for the NX, and then he could tell me more about what it was. But basically, it’s kind of hard to pitch something when you don’t even know what it is! So if you manage to guess it right, we’ll tell you what it is. So, I don’t know. But I am just as curious as everybody else to see what they’ve been making.

We’ve seen this coming from a few developers now, Nintendo obviously has dev kits with some teams but not others – but still none of them know what the system will look like or will it have any zany controllers, tablets or otherwise.

If the NX is out this year or even next year Nintendo will have to step its game, that or we go another generation missing out on great games – including Unravel.
