Ubisoft thinks it will be the ‘the No.1 third party on Wii U’
Ubisoft seem to be fans of having a lot of games for new consoles on launch day. With the Nintendo 3DS, they had a bunch of games (with varying quality) and more recently with the Playstation Vita is/was very much the same. Now they have their eyes set on the Wii U.
Speaking to Gamasutra, Tony Key (Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing) at Ubisoft has been teasing big plans for the Wii U. He says that because of their close relationship with Nintendo, they will have an advantage over the competition.
”Our intention is to be the number one third party on Wii U, just like we were on Kinect and just like we were on 3DS,”
“We’ve always had a really close relationship with Nintendo so I’d venture to say that we did have an advantage in getting dev kits earlier than other people. I’m not saying we got them earlier than everyone, but I do think we got them early.”
Ubisoft has already promised Killer Freaks From Outer Space and Assassins Creed III for the system, we are sure they’ll have more ready for launch.
They also promised Ghost Recon Online, and no doubt the Rabbids will rear their head again.
