In a press release issued today, Ubisoft has announced the development of a fourth game in the Rayman Series. The famous game character is celebrating 10 years and has so far sold over 16 million games worldwide. We are also very happy to hear that Michel Ancel (of Beyond Good & Evil fame) will be directing the game. No information on what systems it will be released on, but if you go by the leaked Ubisoft release list from last month, and Ubisoft’s history with Nintendo consoles and handheld, expect to see it on the Revolution, DS and Gameboy Advance.

The game is set for a “”Christmas Season 2006″” release date.
