Two new Octoling hairstyles have been revealed for Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion
Ever since Splatoon 2’s first paid DLC, Octo Expansion, was revealed back in March, we’ve only ever seen Octolings with one hairstyle, leading many to believe there wouldn’t be any options for different hairstyles for the Inklings’ eight-tentacled cousins. Turns out that’s not the case.
In a series of tweets on the official Japanese Splatoon 2 twitter account, Nintendo showed off two new hairstyles for Octolings: an adorable ponytail for girl Octos and a slick afro for boy Octos.

Also included were some nice little gifs showing off the new hairstyles in different styles of fashion. It all looks pretty neat, though it looks as if the boy Octo’s afro isn’t composed of tentacles like all other hairstyles. Maybe it’s the bulbous octopus head instead? Who knows, but it’s certainly a very Fresh™ look.
