Just Dance has been a hit over the holiday period with Ubisoft now saying that the game has now sold over 2 million copies since its launch in November last year.
Just Dance has a selection of music tracks in which you must move the Wii Remote and ’dance’ to follow the character on screen, and that’s about it. Its simplistic design and gameplay has obviously struck a chord with a few people.
Speaking to Gamasutra, Tony Key, senior VP of sales and marketing at Ubisoft says "The consumer response to Just Dance has been overwhelming. With Just Dance’s success we’ve seen a renewal of the music video game genre, as this is truly a game that is accessible and enjoyable for everyone."
Who says third party games on the Wii can’t be successful? (Are we sure we want this to be the example though?)
