Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze has been delayed in Europe and Australia (update: everywhere) until early 2014.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata explained in tonight’s Nintendo Direct, that the game’s release has been delayed to ensure that the game lives up to the high standards that players expect of Nintendo titles.

Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze is the sequel to the successful Wii platformer Donkey Kong Country Returns, and was previously slated for release in December 2013.

Just like Mario Party, I hope the delay increases the quality. Online Co-op would be lovely, doubtful, but lovely none-the-less. Mario 3D World will suffice until Feb 🙂

Is this a PAL only delay or does Japan & NA also have it delayed? If it’s the former, then their statement really wouldn’t make sense.
