If Trine 2 is sounding familiar, it’s because it has already been released on several other platforms before. Trine 2: Director’s Cut is a bit different though.
Frozenbyte’s Director’s Cut will be an exclusive Wii U launch-window downloadable title, and include some updates which promise to make it feel less like a rehash of its former self.
The game will include a number Wii U exclusive features. Co-op gameplay will support the Wii U GamePad and up to three Wii remotes. To add to this, there will also be a new mode titled Magic Mayhem and an entire level exlusive to the Wii U.
A local release and price for Trine 2: Director’s Cut is yet to be announced. In the meantime, you can watch Satoru Shibata discuss the title during the European Nintendo Direct event (at the 28 minute mark) and check out the footage of it below.
