No promises though.

Frozenbyte has released a video explaining the reasons behind the delay of Trine 2: Director’s Cut in Australia and New Zealand, and also providing an idea of when the game will be released in these locations.

Marketing Manager Mikael Haveri said Frozenbyte was sorry for the delay of Trine 2: Director’s Cut and explained how the end of the year got the better of them.

“We’re sorry for the fact that Trine 2: Director’s Cut, that we haven’t been able to bring that to your part of the world as of yet.

“A lot of things happen, especially [in] December with people, vacations, and our side and Nintendo’s side, so that didn’t make it until [late] last year.”

He continued by explaining how there had been issues with the submission of the game.

“In January we’ve been having some issues with submissions… it’s the fourth time we’ve been able to submit the game.

“Right now it looks very good, so hopefully during the third (fourth) week of January we can see that game… no promises, but we’re doing everything we can.”

Haveri also revealed the rest of the world would receive the major update (including better graphics, voice chat and pro controller support) at the same time, and then wrapped up the entire video with another apology directed at Australian and New Zealand Wii U owners.

“Sorry for being late, hope you guys understand and really enjoy the game when you get it.”

I’ve been writing about video games since 2006 and playing them since I was a kid. I started out with a copy of Mario & Yoshi on the Game Boy and before I knew it was in debt to Tom Nook. These days I spend much of my time trawling the eShop for the latest downloadable hit.
