Promising over 1000 custom block types for you to design, build and race on, the Wii version of TrackMania is looking a lot more than just your average port. You’ll be able to quickly send tracks you’ve designed to a friend over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and race against them in mere seconds.
There’s the usual 4-way split-screen local multiplayer and a handful of modes in addition to regular racing such as Hot Seat, Platform, and Puzzle modes. The game has a huge following on PC, and if they can get the netcode right for Wii, then the console version has the potential to be just as exciting. And don’t worry, the game supports controls for Wii Wheel, Wii Remote and Nunchuk and Classic Controller. So now matter what your preferred controls are, you’re bound to remain competitive.
The game is scheduled to release overseas later this week, but as yet there is no official release date for Australia.
