Lara Croft is heading back to Nintendo consoles, with Tomb Raider Anniversary (a reworking of the original game with the Legends engine) is now currently in development for the Wii. The game that was set to launch on the PS2 and PSP exclusively has now been announced for Wii in an interview with the developers on IGN.

More Inside However, since Eidos have only recently received Wii development kits the game looks like its only just been started and details on how the motion controls etc will work are non existent with Eidos president and CEO Bill Gardner only giving a vague “”[i]its not a port. It’s a unique version.””

The game will still hit the PS2 and PSP in about a month or so with the Wii version due out later in the year. More as it happens.
