Coming from developer LEVEL-5 who brought us the Guild01 games like Crimson Shroud and Liberation Maiden (which we loved – click to see our reviews), a trio of games are coming to the Australian 3DS eShop known as Guild02.

LEVEL-5 have gathered together a collection of well-known and seasoned Japanese developers for the Guild-02 project, ensuring that these games should be intriguing to say the least.

First of the trio announced was The Starship Damrey, from the minds of adventure game veterans Kazuya Asano (who has worked on the Dragon Quest and Dragon Warrior franchises) and LEVEL-5’s own Takemaru Abiko.

In The Starship Damrey, players find themselves on a starship, with no idea of how or why they are there. The game gives no tutorial or objectives to lead players to the next destination, instead forcing players to explore and learn from the suspenseful environment in order to uncover the mystery of how they got here, and what has happened on the starship.

Secondly, in a more light-hearted game, we have Bugs vs. Tanks! which comes to us courtesy of Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. In Bugs vs. Tanks! players customise a World War 2 era tank which is then shrunk down to miniscule size and pitted against giant insects and other bugs. This promises to be great fun, however insectophobes need not apply!

And finally in another game involving monsters, we have Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale. In this game, players take the role of a young boy who lives in a place where every Friday, monsters from classic 1970s Japanese monster films come to life! Not much was revealed about the gameplay, but the premise sounds exciting to say the least! Friday Monsters! come from the mind of Kaz Ayabe, who has previously worked on Millenium Kitchen in Japan – however this will be his first title released outside of the land of the rising sun.

No word on exactly when these titles will be coming to the eShop, but keep an eye on the weekly Nintendo Download Updates on Vooks to find out more.
