Third party interest in Nintendo’s Switch increased after its reveal
There’s almost always an investor Q&A after any Nintendo financial results briefing, this quarter is again no exception and the Japanese transcript from it has been released. Thanks to some kind souls on Twitter, specifically @Cheesemeister3k who has translated some of the more interesting exchanges.
Most of the questions from session were about the Switch, Tatsumi Kimishima who fronted the questions of course didn’t revealed anything really new about the system itself, but did share some promising signs.
He spoke of third parties and their support for the Switch compared to the Wii U. Kimishima says that publishers understand the unique opportunities that the Switch offers better and that’s why there’s more support. Reaction has been so well received that even more developers and publishers have shown interest to Nintendo since the reveal and seeing what it’s all about.
Pretty much everything else asked about the Switch was deflected, as you would expect.
