Skyward Sword has only just hit the stores but series producer Eiji Aonuma is already talking up what he has in store for the Zelda that will be coming to the Wii U. You knew it had to happen right?
In a new interview with Nintendo Power magazine, Aonuma reveals that he has a even bigger shake up for the series planned with the Wii U and the game will take full advantage of what the new system will offer.
Skyward Sword is a title where we took aim at all the conventions of the Zelda series. While that may have been difficult, I think that confronting those challenges resulted in something that has a great deal of value. When it comes to Wii U, well obviously want to add new elements that take advantage of the capabilities of the platform. I think using that as a lens through which we once again challenge the conventions of Zelda is more important than just making another Zelda game. With that in mind, please expect big things from the Zelda series to come!
So bring on E3 2012? Well while wed like to think well see the game there, we probably wont. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. What kind of series conventions would you like to see tackled?
Makes sense to us.
It's Black, Back Again.
If these aren't the coolest graphics...
