The Switch version of Dark Souls: Remastered has been delayed
Just a month out from the intended release date, Bandai Namco has revealed that Dark Souls: Remastered has been delayed for the Nintendo Switch.
Initially slated for a May 25th release, Dark Souls: Remastered will not be making it to the Switch until much later in the year — Bandai Namco says it will release in the US Summer, which is Winter for us south of the equator. It doesn’t get much more vague than that. Not much reasoning has been given, aside from the equally vague promise that the delay will be used to improve the experience on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
The Nintendo Switch version of #DarkSoulsRemastered will be pushed back to Summer 2018, as well as the Solaire of Astora amiibo. We apologise for the delay but rest assured, the extra time will improve your journey to Lordran.
PC/PS4/X1 versions is still coming 25th May 2018.

Similarly, the Solaire of Astora Amiibo has been delayed to the same date, which is presumably still intended to launch alongside the game (and presumably still sold only through Nintendo’s eBay page in Australia).
Dark Souls: Remastered will still launch on the 25th of May on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, so it’s really just Switch owners that are missing out here. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if we hear anything new.
Presumably it’s to manufacture enough amiibo to meet demand, yeah?
Yeah?
Yeah?
Bueller?
Such a shame, it is my hope that we get these 3rd party physical games on day 1 as other consoles…
This is so odd, we just saw good footage of it running too. Manufacturing problem? Or deliberate delay?
