The Last Story is Nintendo and Mistwalkers huge upcoming JRPG coming to the Wii next year. Mistwalker is of course headed by the creator of the Final Fantasy series, Hironobu Sakaguchi and is responsible for the games Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.
It’s been revealed in the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Jump that the game will be adding online multiplayer to the mix with not only a versus mode making an appearance but also co-operative play. Six players will be able to play together in either mode.
Less exciting news was also revealed; you’ll be able to customise your armour in multiplayer so everyone can see how awesome you are.
The Last Story is of course on track for next year but a release outside of Japan hasn’t been announced, confirmed or even spoken of. A shame.
