A whole continent of people are going to be even more upset

Europe and Australia have already got the very excellent Xenoblade Chronicles, now it seems Australia will again be joining in the party with Europe in getting The Last Story. The game has been classified by the Australian Classification Board. The game makes up one third of the ’Operation Rainfall’ games, the others being Xenoblade Chronicles and Pandora’s Tower, which are also not coming to North America thanks to the fine folks at Nintendo of America.

The Last Story is the newest game from Mistwalker, the company founded by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi. The Last Story has been out in Japan for most of the year so far and received great reviews from the Japanese media, although it’s failed make much of a splash on their sales charts.

While we could’ve always imported The Last Story from Europe had the game not come here, it probably means Xenoblade sold well enough here to warrant the release. Incidentally, the classification board has decided that The Last Story warrants an M. Can’t argue with more ’Mature Themes’ on the Wii.
