A Japanese retailer has given us a close-up view of a Nintendo 3DS game case and as you can see, its very similar to a Nintendo DS box, except no its made of white plastic and has the 3DS logo on the other side of the box.
However, the case is eco-friendly. As you can see from the picture below, small squares are cut out of the inside of the case to use less plastic than a regular box.
The Japanese retailer divulged that this special case weighs 45 grams, which is 15% less than the original DS case, which weighs 53 grams. 15% might not seem like a lot, but consider this. When Nintendo ship a million copies of a game, thats a lot of weight to be saved. So Australian Nintendo games have been subjected to this, but Nintendo may just be using existing stock.
