Terraria will be coming to Wii U and 3DS later this year

Probably one of the worst kept secrets

The exceedingly popular two dimensional sandbox game, Terraria, will be coming to both the 3DS and the Wii U sometime this year, developer Re-Logic has confirmed.

No words have been revealed on whether the ports will feature unique functionality or just be straight conversions, but lead developer Whitney Baird took to the company’s forum to confirm work had begun on the ports.

The announcement has been argubaly one of the worst kept secrets as there was news previously that the game was coming to Nintendo platforms, with both an Amazon listing and USK listing appearing in recent months.

Will you be picking up Terraria for the first time on Wii U or 3DS? Would you double dip just to play the game on a Nintendo console?
